摘要: Today zoom optical system is more used in many fields. It can be satisfied with many special imaging instances with its superiority on ability of supplying different visual field and resolution. But the conventional zoom system must have more than two moving elements to realize focus turning and imaging shift compensation at the same time. This makes the system have large volume and weight, and complicated structure. Liquid lens is a kind of novel optical device based on biological vision system. By utilizing this device, zoom camera can be designed in a new simple way. In this paper, a liquid lens operated by a stepper motor had been demonstrated. A new way of designing a micro zoom system without any moving lens had also been introduced. And a kind of hybrid diffractive-refractive liquid lens had been presented to improve the imaging quality. A micro bifocal zoom endoscope system including two pieces of liquid lens was contrived. Finally, it is thought that although many technologies, especially the package method should be solved better, the liquid lens micro zoom system has very wide potential application in the fields that the system's volume and weight are strictly limited, such as endoscope, mobile, PDA and so on.

摘要: The hyper-spectral image compression is one of the front technologies in the remote sensing. The hyper-spectral image has enormous data quantity, so it is important to research on the hyper-spectral image compression. Based on the spectral LOCO-I prediction algorithm, the hyper-spectral image compression system is completed with the DSP+CPLD technology. The result shows that the system can compress the image with a higher compression ratio and is faster than processing image under the PCs and has certain practicability.

摘要: High power diode lasers have found increased applications in pumping of solid state or fiber laser systems for industrial, military and medical applications as well as direct material processing applications. The non-linearity of the near-field of emitters (or the so called "smile" effect) in a laser diode array poses significant challenges in optical coupling and beam shaping and has become one of the major roadblocks in broader applications of laser arrays. Increasing the near-field linearity of a pumping laser diode array enables the laser system manufacturer to improve the laser system compactness, optical coupling efficiency, power, and beam quality while at the same time reducing manufacture cost in the laser system. Therefore, the near-field linearity of a laser bar is one of the key specifications of laser array products and improving the near field performance is especially important in order to increase production yield, reduce cost and gain competitiveness. In this paper, we will study the mechanism of "smile" in high power diode laser arrays and discuss the strategies and ways to achieve low "smile".

摘要: High power semiconductor lasers have found increased applications in pumping of solid state laser systems for industrial, military and medical applications as well as direct material processing applications such as welding, cutting, and surface treatment. Driven by low cost, longer lifetime and new applications, the requirements of high power semiconductor lasers have been changed and the demand for new products has been accelerated in recent years. As a result, the packaging technologies of high power semiconductor lasers have been highly developed and have become more sophisticated. In this paper, we review and discuss the technology development trend of high power semiconductor lasers, including single emitters, bars, horizontal bar arrays and vertical bar stacks. However, the packaging technology is still one of the bottlenecks of the advancement of high power semiconductor lasers. We will discuss the challenges and issues in high power laser packaging and some approaches and strategies in addressing the challenges and issues will be presented.

摘要: High power diode laser arrays (HPDLAs) have increased applications in pumping of solid state laser systems for industrial, military and medical applications as well as direct material processing applications. For quasi-continuous wave (QCW) conduction-cooled-packaged high power semiconductor lasers, the operational mode is commonly at lower duty cycle (DC), such as less 2% DC. However, operating high power laser diode arrays in long pulse regime of about 200 mu s, and high duty cycle (such as 8% DC), which greatly limits their useful lifetime, are demanded for some special application. Finite element numerical analysis based simulations to analyze the transient thermal behavior of a conduction-cooled-packaged semiconductor laser operated in QCW mode in this paper. This work describes the performance of laser diode arrays operating in long pulse and high duty cycle mode, including the characteristics of Power-Current-Voltage (LIV), thermal, near-field, and lifetime. This paper will then offer a viable approach for determining the optimum design and operational parameters leading to the maximum attainable lifetime. Based on the numerical simulation and analysis, a series of high power semiconductor lasers with good performances were produced.

摘要: The principle of a shooting positions measurement system with laser illumination is introduced. A narrow band-pass filter is used to suppress background radiation except the laser band for detecting small, high-speed, dark objects. The maximal angle of the entrance ray is limited in the case of using the narrow band-pass filter, so different designs of optical systems with a wide field of view are discussed. The result of telecentric objective with 54 field of view and a relative aperture 1/2 is given.

摘要: A fiber tunable high-power picosecond laser system has been demonstrated. A gain switch semiconductor laser diode was introduced as seed source, and a multi-stage single mode Yb-doped fiber amplifier was combined with a single mode double-clad Yb-doped fiber amplifier and a PCF amplifier to construct the amplification system. High stability and good beam quality pulses with 1MHz tunable repetition rate, 6.8W average power, 90ps pulse duration, and central wavelength tunable from 1053 nm to 1073 nm were generated. The completely fiber-integrated approach has the potential to be scaled to significantly higher average powers.

摘要: This paper describes the preliminary design and performances of a new developed photon counting imaging detector for Chinese ChangE-2 EUV explorer mission. The detector consists of microchannel plate (MCP) stacks and wedge and strip anode and corresponding data read out electronics. The experimental results shows that the new developed detector has a spatial resolution of about 75 mu m, image distortions are small and dark noise count rate less than 0.4 counts cm(-2)s(-1). The pulse height distribution vs MCP operating voltages and the flat field performances are also discussed.

摘要: A micro flywheel energy storage system was designed in which the flywheel battery saves and releases energy when necessary. Controlling system and four operating modes of solar power system containing flywheel battery were given and operating process of this system was simulated. The results show that: the flywheel battery resolves the problem of incapability of solar power supply at night and delays the time of supply. Output characteristics of photovoltaic cell are optimized in this system and the quality and the reliability in power supply is greatly improved.

摘要: The purpose of this study is to obtain an approximate even guide stars catalog (GSC) applied in star trackers, thus a guide stars selection algorithm via support vector machines (SVM) is presented. Using combination of the number of stars and Boltzmann entropy within circular region centered at every star of original catalog(OC) as feature vector, the local density and uniformity of each star from OC is characterized preferably, which distinguishes guide stars and non-guide stars meeting structural risk minimization (SRM). The SVM algorithm is implemented by generating the GSC for a star tracker with an 8 degrees x8 degrees squared field of view (FOV). To validate the GSC generated by SVM, statistics of guide stars number inside the FOV is compared between SVM and magnitude filtering method(MFM) using 10,000 random boresight directions. Results clearly show the volume of GSC created by the SVM algorithm is approximately 34% and the standard deviation is 22% accounting for that of MFM satisfying four guide stars inside the FOV. Consequently, the proposed algorithm makes a great progress relative to MFM in capacity and uniformity of GSC.

摘要: Contourlet is a new effective signal representa-tion tool in many image applications. In this paper, a contourlet-based image denoising algorithm using adaptive windows which utilizes both the captured directional information by the contourlet transform and the intrinsic geometric structure information of the image is proposed. The adaptive window in each of the contourlet subband is first fixed by autocorrelation function of contourlet coefficients' energy distribution, and then the local Wiener filtering is used to denoise the noisy image. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm achieves better performance than current subsampled contourlet-based image denoising algorithms.

摘要: We proposed a new method for assessing spectral image quality. It is based on the energy of structural distortion. We compared it with other assessments which have been used to evaluate spectral image before. Numerical results show that the proposed approach runs well.

摘要: H.264/AVC intra prediction employs the rate distortion optimization (RDO) technique to get to the best encoding performance. But exhaustively searching all candidate modes dramatically increases the computational complexity for encoding. In order to reduce the computational complexity, in this work, we proposed a low complexity mode decision algorithm which is based on reducing the number of candidate modes for further RDO calculation. The proposed algorithm can decide the interpolation direction accurately by calculating the directional pixel-value differences (DPD) of target block and then do statistic with the obtained values to choose the most probable modes. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve more than 70% time saving than H.264 referenced software with tiny degradation of encoding performance.

摘要: Nowadays, there are thousands of in-orbit spacecrafts. It is of strategic significance to identify, track the space targets, and calculate their orbits and coverage area. In the celestial space observation of space targets on a micro spacecraft detector, it is difficult to observe and track targets because of their small size, unobvious geometric shape, and the complex movements relative to observed targets, background and detectors. The prediction algorithm of space targets must satisfy the demands of high reliability. low computation, real-time processing and so on. Based on multi-thread image processing and the Kalman algorithm, a new algorithm is proposed for multi-target prediction. Using this approach, the coordinates of targets can be predicted in real-time and precisely. Through theoretical calculation and computer simulation, this algorithm has shown that it is simple, effective and can satisfy the requirement of working conditions of the micro spacecraft detector well.
